Finally, Sanchez is signs as a Man Utd player. As a red devils fan I have several feelings towards this deal. He has gotten the iconic no 7 jersey. However a primary issue is the position he's gonna play in. He is definitely not going to play in the no 9 position because as we have seen Mourinho is never dropping Romelu Lukaku from that position so far he's fit. This means either the formation is changed to accommodate 2 strikers upfront but lets be honest Jose is no Brendan Rodgers who changes formations every other match.

Since that is not looking likely, this spells bad news for Rashford and Martial since Sanchez would likely going to play on the left. Martial has been in fine form recently and this deal seems like another glitch in his progress. Marcos Rashford's development would also be scuppered because this leaves him lower in the pecking order.

Losing Mhikitaryan is sad for me, he's a player I've always admired since he's days at Borussia Dortmund. Its not surprising though he has failed to kick on and show the best of abilities at Manchester United. I hope this will not come back to haunt United as one of Mourinho's failed projects, of which there are many. In which a sells a player who wasn't performing under him and then turns to a world beater in another team. Personally for Mhikitaryan, Arsenal is a good club for him. He is going to be under less pressure and I believe their style would suit him.

Lets be honest, at the start of the transfer window most us expected Alexis to be joining the blue side of Manchester. So it's a good thing that we have been able to keep our noisy neighbours from further strengthening themselves by signing a player who has scored over 100 goals since 2012. Sanchez is definitely a top player and hopefully he can help to breakdown stubborn teams, an area where Manchester United struggles sometimes. Whether this deal would be worth it in terms of paying him 450,000 pounds per week, we can only wait and see.
