Portugal and Spain expectedly had a highly entertaining game in Sochi where both team performed amazing physical form and effective attacking actions. Cristiano Ronaldo gloriously continued his beast form after scoring magnificent hat-trick – one goal from penalty spot, second from open-play and third – absolute belter – from the free kick.

Spain did very well under reign of interim manager Fernando Hierro, delivering creative but well organized game highlighted by Diego Costa's mighty brace by and brilliant screamer by full-back Nacho, but Cristiano Ronaldo individual supremacy denied their deserved win. Marvelous game!
