In a thoroughly entertaining game, Spurs maintained their title challenge without star player Harry Kane.

Despite Leicester being on the front foot towards the later stages of the first half, it was Spurs who took the lead when man of the match Eriksen delivered a cross to Davinson Sanchez to score his first goal for Spurs.

On the hour mark, Vertonghen was penalised to have fouled James Maddison in the penalty area to award a penalty to the away side. Jamie Vardy who was surprisingly omitted from the starting line up, came off the bench to take the penalty. The penalty was saved by Lloris, with Eriksen scoring from twenty yards with a low drive, giving the home side a comfortable lead.

Vardy made amends with a goal got in between Sanchez and Trippier to halve the deficit to make things dramatic.

However, it was the Son who scored the final goal with his left foot, who has been Spurs saviour in recent weeks in the absence of Kane to have the final say.
