Forgiveness III.

Forgiving others is a huge favour to yourself rather than the person you have forgiven. It shows you value your peace more and it is a shame to such person, knowing that they didn't live up to expectations and that kind of feeling would ring in their heads all the time.
There is no higher court than the court of conscience.
Forgiving them shows you are better than them. Forgiving them shows you have better understanding than them. Forgiving them shows you have improved as a person while they stay rooted to the same spot. You have proved your class by forgiving them while they still remain the same. When you hold forgiveness against anyone, how are you any better than them?
Sometimes you think you have forgiven someone but deep down you haven't. Until you get to the point where you have peace even when you see the person, you haven't really forgiven that person.
If you don't wish that person well, then you haven't really forgiven that person. If you can't pray the same prayer you would naturally pray for yourself, you haven't really forgiven that person.
Get yourself to the point where you can see them and you will still have peace. Forgiveness heals you as much as the person you are trying to forgive. I know it is not easy but you have to try. Your peace should be more important than your ego.

Any Christian that have forgiveness spirit understand the concept of christianity
It is really necessary for our Christian walk.
The devil knows the importance of forgiveness and as such crawl in with the spirit of pride in the hearts of the offended so he/she can hold the grudge forever.
But you have well said sir, its not the person eho has offended you that you are doing any favour but your very self and only this knowledge will help us. Until you get tp that point where you can genuinely smile, hug and share good moment with anyone who offends you, you havent forgiven.

Absolutely!. God help us all. It is not easy and we need to try daily. Forgiveness gives a sweet relief. Only when you try it that's when you can know.
