Plan to Extradite Assange Through the Assange-Manafort Fake News Story

in #freeassange5 years ago (edited)

The Guardians fabricated account of Julian Assange meeting with Paul Manafort is an attempt to link Assange and WikiLeaks to the Russaigate side-show developed by the political left. WikiLeaks has already opened a GoFundMe account to sue The Guardian over the fake news of Assange having met with Trump's former election campaign manager, Paul Manafort.

Manafort was a target in recent efforts to prove Trump or his campaign employees were working with Russia to rig and manipulate the 2016 election. This was also known as Russiagate. The media, largely left-leaning, has been hyping it for a while iun their attempt to unseat Trump as president. But they've continued to ignore the Russiagate of Hilary Clinton, their sacred cow, who was involve din the Uranium One affair.

The Guardian's piece of trash story is written by a Plagiarist of the Year winner, Luke Harding, who Assange had called a "hack job". He claimed to have "sources" for his story being true, including an alleged document "written by Ecuador's Senain intelligence agency and seen by the Guardian". But that document was never published for anyone else to verify.

Paul Manafort himself issued a statement in which he unequivocally denies ever meeting Assange:

"This story is totally false and deliberately libelous. I have never met Julian Assange or anyone connected to him. I have never been contacted by anyone connected to Wikileaks, either directly or indirectly."

"I have never reached out to Assange or Wikileaks on any matter. We are considering all legal options against the Guardian who proceeded with this story even after being notified by my representatives that it was false."

Investigative journalist Max Blumenthal has called out the fake news story, asking why there is no real evidence provided. Such as visitor logs, or camera footage:

"Why not show CCTV? London is the most heavily surveilled places on Earth. Why not show that? Why rely on a single Ecuadorian source who appears to be an Ecuadorian intelligence source with the MI6 on the other hand of the line and the US on the other?"

If The Guardian really had evidence, they would have provided it. But they don't. They can't. Because the alleged meeting(s) never took place. Blumenthal further says that this is all a ploy to get Assange arrested and extradited to the U.S. for his show-trial and be made an example of. They are trying to tie Assange "to a figure who is hatching out a plea deal with Robert Mueller, by tying him to the Russiagate scandal in the US."

Despite the patent falsity of the claims, the media has run with it, sanctifying it in the church of "real news" that the masses gobble up. The story is a failure of facts, with many becoming skeptical, but the it's a success for influencing the minds of the masses, as Blumenthal says:

"... once the allegation is made, the damage is done."

"Many people might have read this story and seen some commentary about it and news on CNN and judge that Assange did meet with Paul Manafort."

Even with WikiLeaks suing, and Manfort denying the meeting took place, the article is still on The Guardian's site, with multiple edits after it was first published. This shows how degraded The Guardian has become as an actual news outlet. Blumenthal adds:

*"It is a sad commentary on what The Guardian has become – basically a bulletin board for fabricated national security state propaganda."

Blumenthal said it this might be *"an attempt to put the squeeze on Manafort because he is not providing enough information." But it also plays into getting Assange arrested:

"This apparently fabricated story was planted through Luke Harding... in order to lay the case for the arrest and extradition of Julian Assange."

The U.S. government seem to be out to "fix charges" on Assange, like an orchestrated chess board. Annie Machon, a former MI5 agent, said there is an effort by Democrats "to conflate everything with one big mess: Paul Manafort, the Mueller probe, Donald Trump, WikiLeaks as all part of big Russiagate-type thing".

"It has been an open secret for many years that there has been a secret grand jury convened in Virginia trying to find any charge or probably make up a new law just to prosecute Julian Assange as a revenge for the fact that he shone a very bright light on some very murky and dark details of what the American state was doing."

None of it holds together though, but that doesn't matter to the left-leaning press and the Deep State out to get revenge on Trump and WikiLeaks for embarrassing them. Assange is being used as a pawn in the grand political chessboard that may change the way journalists, leaks and whistleblowers are treated., securing greater power for centralized authority.

Pieces seem to be getting to position which set the groundwork for Assange's eventual trial. The criminal charges against him are now known. Maybe the bungle by the U.S. attorney was intentional to get some movement going and apply pressure on Assange to make him crack. Earlier in the week, U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo met with the Ecuadorian foreign minister. And now the fake news story to influence the masses into seeing Assange as part of the Russiagate scandal.

I read an article about this story a few days ago. I dont remember which news outlet it came from, but I remember the writer mentioning Russiagate as if it was a scientific fact. Forgive me if I'm wrong but I have yet to see any definitive evidence of Russia trying to manipulate the election especially not in collusion with Trump.

Yeah, the whole media establishment treat Russia gate as a de facto fact when it isn't, and likely pure bullshit, as the real corruption is from Hilary.

I don't know which is scarier. How obvious the lies of the lame stream media is, or the large amounts of people who swear by their lies.

Maybe the bungle by the U.S. attorney was intentional to get some movement going and apply pressure on Assange to make him crack.

This wouldn't surprise me at all.

Yes, it's pretty lame, and ppl just gulp it down.
