Reminds me of something from a Computer Camp that I attended in 1999. We were running Windows 98 computers, for the most part. One of the classes involved C++, and someone got smart after one of the lessons. They had just covered while loops, and an enterprising student decided to put it into action. He made a program, titled it "run me im cool.exe" and put it on the desktop. Someone ran it, and it made a 1GB text file. On a computer that had an 8GB hard drive.

Suffice to say, that computer stopped working really fast...

The poor soul who opened it was super embarrassed about the ordeal, and camp staff had some leniency on him. If anything, it was a good teaching moment for everyone, even those who weren't taking the C++ course, like me.
