Most people support the idea of voting and believe that they can influence the politics in a positive way. And while there may be some truth in it, do the politicians we vote actually reflect our positions? Often not and big sacrifices have to be made. Democracy is now the choice of the lesser evil and creates a false dilemma. We are asked to choose between a left type of authoritarianism causing global conflicts and war or a right type of authoritarianism causing conflicts and war. No matter our choice, we always will get authoritarianism and war.

And after years of voting only to be disappointed again, eventually it is time to change. But what can be done?

Voting good people into power

By the nature of the game, the people that end up on the top and can be voted for have gone through a selection process that makes sure that they are

1. Power hungry narcissists
2. Haven sold their convictions to gain sufficient internal support
3. Are self-censoring themselves to leave no attack surface

There always may be few exceptions, but the large majority of politicians are almost featureless candidates that have no new ideas and are simply there for the power. We are not voting among the smartest, we are not even voting among a representative sample of our population, we are literally voting among the self-loving egoists that have demonstrated that they are willing to exploit others for their personal gain and for whom lying is a second nature.

When a good choice does not exist, then go and demonstrate

After stating that I do not like any candidate, people always tell me I should demonstrate to make my opinion heard so it can find its way into the politics. But demonstrating is a huge waste of time. You are not solving anything, you are just demanding that others who do not give a fuck should solve it for you. But we all know they wont.

Yes, if the unrest becomes to big, they will give some empty promises to calm the masses, but these are almost always symbolic and will be cut back once the rage is over. Real change is not brought by demonstrations, it is brought by a change in society, a change in the way we act. Gay marriage is not given to us thanks to some politicians, we have it because even the biggest retards realised that they no right to controll what happens in others bedrooms.

I am not at all against showing you opinions; that is a basic right of everyone, only that a demonstration is not that, it is demanding change instead of being change.

If a good candidate does not exist than be one

Then people tell me, that when I want some change and I do not want to demonstrate, that I could go into politics myself.
This is the worst of all ideas. Without support from the right people that controll public opinion via media campaigns and without kissing the asses of the people higher up in the parties you have no chance to bring some disruptive innovative ideas to a public vote.

You are very much allowed to try, but unless you have a lot of money and powerful friends you wont come far. Democracy is not the rule of the people, it is the rule of those that shape the opinions of the people, usually bought by money.

By getting political all you do is wasting all of your time and energy playing their game, in which you are set up for failure from the beginning. If you are smart you should realise this and do something more productive with your time.

Then you can only give up

Now people will tell me that if I am that pessimistic about politics, I can only give up and accept the world with all its flaws.
These people are so indoctrinated into the political system that they think nothing could happen without politics allowing it first. They are trapped in their mind.

But this is not true at all, non-political solutions exist and work. There are two very influential things that everyone can do, that in contrast to voting, demonstrating or going into politics will actually bring change

Stop voting and giving your consent to be ruled

Show that you object to be ruled. Vote for nobody. Don't confuse legality with morality. Do not cooperate and defend all freedoms you still have in their system. Of course they have all the power and will act violently so do not break their laws, but there is still a lot of room to be the worst citizen they can imagine. The goal is always to free ourselves as much as possible from their controll.

One of the currently most powerful ways to resist is using cryptocurrencies. They love printing their money, but we can exit and put our financial power out of their system.

When only few of us are doing this, they dont care. But when half of the population stops to cooperate and peacefully resists, the system will collapse very quickly.

Act locally

We all know that we cannot influence the big events. But we have a lot of power to influence our local surroundings. Think what you how that could be realised locally and then do it! Not by politics, but by committing your own time and resources.

Actions are more powerful than words, and politics is all about the words.
We are much more powerful than we realise when we do not project our power using words (voting, demonstrating) but actions. Stop wasting time on the political circus and instead do something real.
