Awesome article! History itself is a hotbed of lies. An amazing 7th grade history teacher I once had started out the year with a little story: A kid plays with a dog but accidentally ends up hurting him, and as a result the dog bites him. Following that, the owner of the dog, and the mother of the kid both tell the story in a different way, each blaming the other one. That's history. The hardcover version taught in schools is usually the victor's lie. But there is often another version, printed on pamphlets and spray-painted on walls, which is the loser's lie. The truth lies somewhere in between, but exactly where we can only guess.
