Freewrite: Orange Blossom

I'm just a weary traveler, distorted by the travails of the trip. I've been too long on the road, all I know is trip. I'm drenched by these fumes.

Day after day, I journey, making one stop or the other at uncomfortable locations. Sometimes I find myself in the middle of nowhere with strangers and a broken down vehicle. The creepy creatures lie in the cut, waiting patiently for their moment to pounce. U hear them growl in the horizon, they want to take the life of these weary journeymen.

I've survived many a suicide curve and near death. In the scary moments, my hair stands upright and my heart beats faster. Over and over again, I survive these scary moments, if a cat has nine lives then perhaps I have a million because I've died a thousand deaths in the course of my journey, if this trip is my last then let it be known that I died many times before and this weary traveler is fine with the outcome, atleast I get some rest.

Along the way, I encounter new people and new fragrances, new climates and new culture. I learn about the way things are done in other places and fall in love with the skyline. I see birds flying in the sky, fish swimming right under me and inhale the orange blossom in the atmosphere, such a beautiful feeling. I appreciate them all and if this is my last trip then let it be known that this weary traveler did his best and did it all for love.
