[Freewrite] Screening

As an airport TSA officer, I get to look at the weirdest of things every day, and I don't even like my job much. Today, we got a guy with a poodle. The permits were all correct, but our sniffer dog was barking at this poodle non-stop.

Sorry sir, your dog must be screened

We took the poodle out of the kennel and put him under X-Ray. The dog was filled with drugs. I just called the police and had them handle it.

I went to have some coffee and smoke a cig. How could someone do that? I didn't even want to imagine how the man had filled the dog with drugs. Too late. I already did. I puked in my mouth and prayed to wake up from a nightmare.

But that was just the start of it. I had the sniffers barking all day. Shoes, hats, and someone even had a few bags of heroin in his pockets. Was it drug-smuggling day and I had missed it?

I'm sure we must have missed someone. If it were up to me, I'd have closed the airport, cancelled all flights, and scanned everyone in the location and bring some extra people to scan from the surroundings, just to spruce things up, for funsies, you know.

And then came my turn to be barked down. I had a dog going crazy about my wrist-band. Nothing wrong about it, I had fallen, but now I had my colleagues looking at me strangely. I took it off with pain and noticed a bulge on it. I cut it and boom, drugs.

Next thing I knew, I was being dragged into an interrogation room, then into county jail. I swear it wasn't mine.
