Day 290: 5 Minute Freewrite: Sunday - Prompt: helicopter
Helicopter ?
My first impression was the "airwolf" in those years when I was young, This is one movie that I try not to miss on TV series. During those days, I could hardly differentiate between a helicopter or a copter. Perhaps both refers to the same thing but call it differently.
These days, I could see helicopter are flying in the sky few day before a nation wide celebration in Malaysia. Example will be the Malaysia Independence Day known as Merdeka Day which falls on 31dt August 2018. You can see a few helicopters display the national flag high the sky. I could not remember the organizer do the same practice for the Malaysia day which falls on 16th September 2018
On the other hand, helicopters are often used by the authority for emergency rescue such as during flood in the country. Oh.. correction, it is also seen more often than not the helicopters are used to transport the minister to the flood scene for their personal view.
If I could remember correctly, Genting Highlands Casino and Resort which is located at the hill top of Pahang State in Malaysia, used to have helicopter ferry customer from Kuala Lumpur to the highland many years ago. During those years, the road leading to the casino was narrow and dangerous especially after heavy rain fall. Also to attract customer to visit the casino, the helicopters flight are used as a branding and awareness of such an resort in the hill top.
Anyway, for a 5 minutes, these are some of the events I could recalled.

That was a lot you recalled!!! Well done. And I bet people loved to fly to that resort!! (I wouldn't - I get motion sickness :)
ya.. that was more than 40 years ago. During that time, I was young and just started to work.
I did not take the helicopter to the resort. It was too expensive for me in those years. But many gamblers use their service though
