Steem should definitely be a place for the average user to join and earn rewards, but the average user shouldn't expect posting to be enough. It's not like people get likes on Facebook just for posting either. You have friends who like you and what you have to say. It's the same here. I'll say again what I keep saying. If people behaved like normal humans with all the wide variety that is humanity, steem would be an incredibly popular platform. It's the confusing bits that warps human behavior here and makes it weird and, for some users as they first start out, unfriendly-seeming.
I hope we'll naturally evolve away from that as whales sell to minnows and stake gets more well distributed.

You are correct it definitely should be a friendly and welcoming place unlike the current ghost town we see today. I do hope your correct about the movement in stake but I cannot help fearing if the price gets to low people will stop engaging all together, seems to be the pattern on almost a daily system.... I still believe the complexity of our platform is the biggest hindrance of new user growth, not the politics but actual function of the platform.

I had hoped that’s where Partiko would play in but as of late I believe they are having troubles with implementing the needed features and being rejected from the iOS App Store 🤦♂️

Weird. Why is Apple giving them trouble, do you know?
My understanding is they are very particular in what’s allowed into the App Store, not sure if it has to do with being crypto related but it seems to be something they also face complications with for Buzzbreak.
