5 Minute Freewrite Prompt - Burning

Continuing from my last prompt of Puzzle ...

How will the journey of the Dragon Princess, Sophia be now that she has thrown the Puzzle of Life into the fire. Possibly the one & only last remedy to saving her kingdom from the rage & fire that burns inside her since she was born.

As Sophia storms out into the Main Hall, she saw a little girl weeping by the corners of the pillars, hidden in the shadows. As the Dragon Princess approached her, Sophia realized that she was shaking & holding to what seemed to be a dagger.

They send a girl to kill me NOW! Why does everyone hate me. I'm the victim here!!

Fire blazed all over her body. The burning sensation has always given Sophia the much needed pleasure that she didn't care anymore.

The child looked up at Sophia & said softly. "Please, Dragon Princess... Save us. Only you can save us all"

Sophia felt the sadness & fear of the little girl. What can the Dragon Princess do. The Puzzle of Life is now burned into ashes. It can no longer save her BUT ... Sophia walked out of the castle & onto the castle open grounds. Her people stood there looking at her - full of terror.

I'LL SAVE ALL OF YOU. I'M SORRY FOR ALL I'VE DONE. YOU ALL DESERVE BETTER

Once again, fire blazed all over the Dragon Princess. But this time was different. Sophia contained the burning within herself, allowing herself to be sacrificed by the fire & rage.

The Dragon Princess finally knew the true meaning of being the ruler & protector of her kingdom. Till today, the people still tells her story to the young.
