FreeWrite: The Epilogue Of Sell-Outs!!

Is this where it ends? Who started this and how did it go so wrong? The ones who came before had felt unease at the twist the journey had taken. They had not seen this coming even though they had set it in motion. "Sell-Outs..." they whispered at first. Then their voices started getting bolder, pointing fingers, taking a step away from what they could have contributed to the so called "Sell-Outs".

This is not what we were made for, they said. This is not what it's about. Don't hide in your little rooms and your big heads. Lost in a world that breeds a soulless existence. Don't be lost in the make-believe, come out and feel, smell, touch. Don't embrace the fantasy, express in love, kindness and the authenticity of those who came before.

Hang on!! Why is yours better than ours? Why is yours the way even though you paved this for us? Why would you start something you cannot finish? Even when we want to finish it, you are crying foul as if you had been wronged?

This is what we know. This is what speaks to us. This is our comfort and joy. Yes, you lived in a physical world, you had challenges and you overcame. That brought your peace, but this brings us our peace. Our challenges may not be in the space that you were accustomed to, but it doesn't make it any less of a challenge as we sit here, finding our way through bugs, crashes and algorithms.

This is our comfort zone. This is what we call home. A home that has the whole world at our finger tips. Building bonds across borders and oceans and over mountains. Seeing, feeling, travelling and tasting through text and pictures. We embrace all in clicks, taps and slides. We can be anything, be anywhere. Why would this be wrong just because you don't understand?

You may think it is the end. And you may be right. It is the epilogue of what you know but it is the uprising of what we know. We are, now, in a good place and that is what we always seek. Even if it differs from your reality of absolute, this is our utopia.

So, leave us be and let not the differences in design make it right or wrong. We are no sell-outs and this is not an epilogue. It's just what it has come to be. This creation has come to pass organically and inevitably.
