Helpless - My Freewrite
Tears were streaming down her face. She was feeling so helpless. How did she get to this place?
Hope used to be part of her. Everyone admired how no matter what, she kept smiling. She always found a way. But what they didn’t know, is that she felt alone. Always. Helpless to know how to be easy in the world.
There was so much to do. Always. At home. In the world. So many problems. So much misery! How, how was a person supposed to be happy when feeling so alone. So different. So very very alone. Helpless to find a way to others.
Helpless to solve any of the problems she saw all around her. Everything she did was not enough. It was never enough.
Never enough!
What else was she to do? All she wanted to do now is hide. But where could she disappear to? It was easy to stay at home. To slowly stop talking to anyone.
Soon, she didn’t know how to speak anymore. When she opened her mouth, there were sounds.
But all that was forming in her heart was a scream.
Screaming for who she used to be.
Screaming for who she wanted to be.
Crying for the little girl which still lived in her and was so sad.
That little girl that was afraid of the dark. That was afraid of the basement. But still had to go because - she was just silly.
Don’t you know? Silly.
And she was helpless to make anyone understand.

That is me! So frustrating. Speaking of frustrating...do you know what is going on with Steemit? I post in the evenings and it takes me 5 hours just to do one post, replies, comments and upvotes. That is why I haven't been doing any freewrites. By the time I go through all of that, I am so frustrated that I leave this platform.
Also, I am one of the prompt deliverers for today and began with the same problems. Now it seems to be running fine, smooth as silk. LOL! However, I wasn't able to upvote or reply for @wordymouth because his freewrite is on Steem Peak. Just wanted to let you know.

LAWD, you captured the reality of my brain far too often!!! My response is usually to hide away when it gets too overwhelming. Great freewrite!
