Law, Order And Poverty

Freewrite - Law And Order

Law And Order has become about poverty. It's not a war against crime, drugs, violence or corruption anymore, it's a war against the visibility of misery.

Disguised under physical and goods security purposes, its main role is to lock up people so they don't interfere with the carefully instilled, over decades of work made by different institutions, thought system of law-abiding, hard-working, slave-minded citizens.

Seeing an homeless guy before entering a shop might make some of us briefly humans again, capable of generating considerations outside of the realm of what is typically required of us, along the lines of "Do I really need this ?" or "Maybe we could improve ?". This sudden flash of humanity is a danger to the system and the forces at work.

With the most evident displays of poverty hidden from the general population, the almost-as-poor-but-a-bit-less people can live their life as dictated to them by society, without thinking too much about the reality of their condition(ing).

Law And Order is just the strong arm of a control system that is capitalism.
