Just spent an hour researching you.
A) I approve of what transparencybot does.
B) I'm very annoyed by "you're a bully", "no you're a bully" going back and forth, as if bullying is really the issue here.
C) if bullying IS the issue, I don't think one should accuse those with less power of being the bullies of those with MORE power. i.e. transparencybot can't be bullying fyrstikken any more than a toddler can bully a professional wrestler... no offense, I just mean relative-power-wise.
D) Downvotes because of disagrees on rewards is absolutely what that's for! I feel like this is even the exact circumstance that portion is written for! And yet a witness is objecting??? ugh.
E) Activists need to be morally irreproachable. To that end, even though it's made invisible by the platform, I think transparencybot needs to not upvote its own comments. You'll lose the battle for the hearts and minds of those who don't know anything either way.
F) I'm glad for the upvote even though I didn't use your hashtag. I think you shouldn't have the hashtag thing at all.
G) If you have a strong case to be made about why your reputation should be much higher, and I think you do, you should talk with some of the high-rep folks who aren't entrenched in the bidbot system, like @papa-pepper and, well, so many more, to get upvotes from - not for the $, but for the rep. You could even donate any money that isn't downvoted away to @steemcleaners or some such thing as a show of good faith. ...rep is calculated by relative rep, right? Or is it by SP, too? In which case, I dunno what to suggest.
H) I'm proud of @cardboard and @malloryblythe for supporting you. I know them a little, and it was a delight to see their comments on your discussions!

Thank you for the great reply.

The hashtag #nobidbot was created by @whatamidoing, @transparencybot does support this initiative, but as you noticed, the tag is not required to get an upvote from me.

Currently, the self-upvote is required simply due to the negative rep. No upvote, then my comment would be invisible. The tiny upvote is just enough to make the comment visible.

Bullying is major problem on the platform and for some reason good people seem to be tolerating itwhen they see it full force against those who cannot fight back, my guess is their inaction is manly out of fear.

Stay tuned, good things from TB are just around the corner.

@transparencybot I understand why you upvote your comments. I'm saying that I think the net negative outweighs the positive, when the real goal is to win hearts and minds!

OK, Understood.
Thanks for the support!
