Morning Dew
The dew lands upon the face
of the rose, heavy, iridescent,
a gentle mist of morning breath.
A new day,
a surge of light,
dancing diamonds sprinkle.
a meadow lawn, the lives
of night slip slowly under cover
of lush leaves of age old trees.
The winds change reflections,
mirrors each,
these rays burst forth
a glitter 'neath candlelight.
