At the Festival of Flowers a couple of Saturdays ago, the City of San Antonio Solid Waste Management Department was giving out free compost buckets.
It's the perfect size for the kitchen counter, but for successful composting we need to make sure we put all food scrapes inside this little bucket, then move them to the outside compost bin every other day.
This bucket has little air holes on the green lid, so the scrapes won't get moldy.
The Sure-Close foodscrap collection container came with an instruction sheet and container features.
We all have to do our fair share to help save our planet for the children of the future. 🌎

We raised chickens for many years, to they were my "recyclers" of kitchen scraps. I miss having them around for that purpose, and I miss the fresh eggs. But we needed to take a break from raising chickens.
