Freewrite : flashlight
It was probably hours since midnight passed and yet her eyes doesn't seem to be tired, it is still wide opened. She held her breath for a moment, ears perking up to catch the slightest sound and sighed in relieved when she rralized it was just the sound of a stray cat.
Smiling, she turned on her flashlight again anfd opened the book she was reading. It wasn't comfortable being under the blanket and all, but the book was just too good and even her mum's warning couldn't stop her from reading it.
It was morning when she woke up to her mum's disapproving face, the flashlight in her hands as well as the book. "Im taking this and will give it to you on the weekend"
She could only nod before getting up to get ready for school, feeling absolutely happy. The book was finished the night before, so even if it was confiscated till weekend there is no worry at all.
So, am I the only one who secretly reads under the blanket when I was younger?
