Fruits and Veggies Monday - Fruit Canapes
It's #Fruitsandveggiesmonday by @lenasveganliving and hosted by @plantstoplanks. Today i would like to share a party food that is fast and easy to make….. Ta Dan… Fruit canapes.
It's Perfect for the summer, This no cook but delicious appetizer is ideal for big occasions such as weddings, baby showers or even an impromptu visit.
I just used three kinds of fruits and a cookie cutter to make this goodies - Pineapple, Blueberries and rockmelon.
Aside from sharing this delightful canapes, I also would like to share a tutorial in "How to open a Pineapple". I'm sure there are lots of ways to open this fruits (with lots of eyes) and Here is one way to do it.
Twist the crown and discard
Slice the top bit and the bottom
Peel the skin all the way up to the bottom
- Once done, scoop out this tiny eyes using small knife.
- And It should look like this :)

You really can't beat fresh fruit! It doesn't need much to make it look and taste delicious! Love that you included the directions on how to cut a pineapple, as well. I was just talking with a friend yesterday who bought her first whole pineapple! They sell it in strips or cubes at the grocery stores here, so a lot of people don't take the time to cut it themselves. I think it tastes so much better when cut fresh like this!

Let there be more fresh fruit in the world. Canapes? option but cute for kids. :) Here in Thailand fruit carving is a big thing and we often get very decorative fruit "extras" on the side with meals. Thai people take this stuff to a serious artform!
