I've been living in Dubai for over 3 years now.
For people who haven't been here I have to say you only have two options: you either love it or hate it.
I've passed through a different stages but I learned that the best way to start loving the city you live in is to make fun with the things that you don't like.

Here are 6 funny facts about Dubai.

1. Taxi drivers never know where are they driving you.

2. It's not a secret we have 2 seasons here in Dubai: summer and winter that consists of one rainfall every 365 days and some chilly days with a temperature of 28 degrees (if you get lucky).

3. You aren't impressed by fancy cars anymore.

Don't you hate it when palm trees aren't big enough to provide shade to all of your Maserati?

4. People who live in Dubai have their own problems too.

(You can take that one seriously, as a flight attendant I see this onboard every day!)

5. Shopping in Dubai feels like: "Where does all my money go? It's like, hocus pocus I'm brokus."

6. Driving in Dubai during peak hours is the real mannequin challenge.
