Building a Super Adobe home in Lombok
More earthquakes continue to rock Indonesia, this part of the world on the Pacific ring of fire is a hot spot for seismic activity
This is why we are determined to build an earth dome home in Indonesia, teaching local people how to build super Adobe homes for themselves and for the knowledge to spread, so many people can live in cheap, safe and sustainable housing.
We had been on contact with a super Adobe expert davide, unfortunately our plans for him to join us in lombok this summer have fallen through because he has another big project to attend to. Nether the less we plan to book him for a future date, and when we return to visit our friends in lombok this summer we will prepare some of the initial prep, so when davide is able to come, we can get straight into the project.
Gathering the tools to build a super Adobe house is our first objective, digging a trench and preparing a foundation, before we can start building.

In my younger days i used to build rammed earth and adobe homes. Hard work but worth the passive solar comfort.

Very cool! I've been to Cal Earth in Hysperia and got to hear Nadir Kalili talk about it before he passed. Would love to build one of my own someday. Now if I could only afford to buy some land in California.
