"Ithaqa" Comic Book Update #227 - Flirting With A Flapper

This is Delilah, a dapper flapper. Theresa did a great job with her character design here, and when we get to the pencil stage, you'll see her design really comes together.

When the writing decides it wants to give me an easy time, it seems to come out of nowhere, this whole scene was like that. Sometimes I don't have to wonder about what happens next, the characters just move along and I take notes on what happens.

I knew that Harvey had to break into The Band Wagon, because Little Jimmy would never let a man like Harvey in, I had no idea that Delilah would be there getting accosted when he did. In the end I'm glad this scene made it in, because 90% of Harvey's scenes are grim-dark and revenge fueled. It was nice to see him interact with someone who wasn't so god damn serious all the time, it was nice to see that he could be charming if the conditions were right.

I don't know what Delilah is up to now, but I do hope we run into her again in the future.
