Fungifriday: alien eggs

I missed finding these puffballs when they were still growing, then they look like little white eggs with a rough surface. This one is in the process of drying out before the spores are released.

This one has already burst open to release its spores and they get the name Puffballs because if you squeeze them, a little cloud of spores will be ejected from the hole. The spores are like a little pinch of dust and will be carried by the wind to land somewhere else and sprout when it is damp and raining.

These are just little puffballs, about 2 cm across, some species grow fairly large. Some puffballs are edible although I don't know about these.

Are the clouds of spores harmfull for the human body? Upvoted and resteemed, for your support sis!

No they aren't

We grow such interesting mushrooms. Their hat is round. When they mature, then if you click on them, then brown dust comes out. So they multiply.
In childhood, we loved crushing these mushrooms and did not know that we were helping them spread the seeds.

We have them here too.

They are another global species

I wondered if you could eat them, i wouldn't risk it

It risky even with the edible ones. Apparently they turn poisonous once they start drying out

Oh! I found one of these in my garden last wet season!
