Especially When It Comes To Government

The less power the state has over you the more freedoms you have.

We were never meant to be dependent on the state for anything, the only legitimate concept was that they oversee that people do not violate the rights of other. That's it, not give everyone free shit. That simple concept has changed so much over time, it is now almost unrecognizable from what it originally was. Every time the politicians try alter it for what they claim to be for the good of the people, those freedoms we have are slowly chipped away at, and the people don't notice it because it is done over a long period of time. Think of it as placing a grasshopper in a pot of cold water and slowly turning up the heat, the grasshopper only notices the danger when it is inevitably to late. This is unfortunately we we find ourselves today.
