Me : What is your opinion on this inflation environment

Friend : What inflation there is none according to the XYZ agency

Me : Inflation is the expansion of the money supply. That is the bank print more so everyone else lose some purchasing power from the existing stock. Not the garbage index masked by not counting food and energy and shrink-flation, dollarstore-flation.

Friend : What are the last 2?

Me : Shrink-flation is Twinkies going from 385g down to 300g. Coke can going smaller etc. Dollarstore-flation is lower quality stuff with the same price that don't last half as long or is half as good.

Friend : I am not a cop and don't buy from dollar store.

Me : Well if you look at the labels on your "Spanish" wine. See at the bottom of the label it says from blend of Spain and Canada wine. That is dollarstore-flation in your face my friend.

Friend : @#$% I need to round up the gang and go buy some pitchforks at the hardware store and doing something about this. How dare they mess with our wine.
