Twitter Police

In the future the police no longer dealt with real crime.
They had changed their name to the twitter police to reflect their modus operandi.
Special detection equipment would scan people's faces across the country for hate.
This meant that everyone had to smile all the time, and never express anger in case of gulag time.
Real crime still occurred.
It just meant that when you were being robbed, the robber made you feel comfortable, always complimenting, as they ran off with your stuff.
"Well, how did it make you feel?" would become the most important question in courts.
If you were complimented and made to feel included during the crime, the criminal would get off, as feelings had been preserved.
Feelings were paramount.
We all smiled at each other.
All the time.
