Exciting Games For The Competitive Unblocked Engineers

in #game6 years ago (edited)

My batchmates in ECE decided to have a reunion in Davao. It was a 2-Day and 1-night vacation. We had an overnight session in one of the Islands near in Davao. After dinner, we played three games and I must say that these Electronics Engineers were very competitive. We started playing 9 in the evening and decided to end the game 2 in the morning.

BAKAK

Bakak is a Visayan term of "Lie." It's a card game wherein the player will guess whether the cards thrown are lie or truth. One of my classmates introduced this game.

GOAL

  • To throw all your cards. There can be lots of winners depending of the number of players but there is only one loser in every game.

MECHANICS:

1 Players must be minimum of three and the cards must be distributed evenly to every player.

2 The first player will release a number of cards and then say what card is it. The card is thrown downcard.
3 The next player will guess if the preceding player releases the exact cards spoken. If he thinks that the previous player tells the truth, he will release another card and the same process as number 2.
4 If the player guesses it wrong, then he will draw another card.
5 Once the player has completed a suit, he will submit/put it in the center in an upcard orientation. The player will no longer use it.
6 The one who will no longer have cards on his hand will be the winner. There will be only one loser.

For example,

I'm the eldest in the game and I'll throw 1 Jack and 1 Nine of Spades, but while I throw the two cards I said two (2) Jack instead. The next player says that it's a lie so I take again the two cards. The next player throws a card and says 1 Alas, Players 3 and 4 throw also two cards saying that two (2) Alas. So there are total of five cards claiming that it's an Alas. Player 5 guesses it as a lie, however, Player 4 throws exactly two Alas which means Player 5 gets the five (5) cards.

Go Fish

Go Fish is another card game introduced by my classmate in which the memory will be tested in this game. In my theory, Go Fish is somehow synonymous with the sentence, "You go fishing!", meaning the player needs to catch those who are carrying the same set of cards.

GOAL

To house a suit. The player with a number of suits will be the winners.

Mechanics:

1 Players must be a minimum of five.

2 Each player must have 4 cards. The remaining deck of the cards are downcarded and will be drawn every wrong guess.
3 The eldest will look for the other cards such that he will guess where the other cards could be.
4 If the player guesses it correctly, the player mentioned must give all his cards the eldest player asked.
5 If he guesses it wrongly, he will draw another one card and the next player in the game is the one who is mentioned by the preceding player.

For example:

I have 2 Jack, 1 Nine and 1 Ten in hand, I will look for the cards that are in my set of cards only. So I will ask player number two to give me the Jack. Luckily, he has one Jack and now I have three Jacks. I ask player number four to give me the Jack and he doesn't have the Jack. So, I will draw one card and the card is Jack, fortunately. Now I have a suit of Jack and I will face the four upcard, meaning I have a 1 house already. The next player is Player number 4 since he's the last one that I called.

S-Game

S-Game is again a game of vocabulary in which all the words that have an s sounds are prohibited in the game. I introduced this game to the gang.

GOAL

To give a word or set of words connected to the previous word such that it doesn't end with letter S and the sound of letter S. There is only one winner in this game.

MECHANICS

1 Minimum of two players.

2 Each player is given five (5) seconds to think for another word or set of words connected to the first/preceding word/s.
3 After 5 seconds, if the player failed to give a word or the word given by the preceding player is not connected, he will be eliminated.
4 Words like Science, Disease, Osmosis, Hindrance, Sax, Fox are prohibited.
5 Another language is acceptable such that all the players know that language.
6 The word must not be repeated in the game.
7 There's only a minimum of two set words with the same meaning to be dropped.

For example:

We are six in the game. We are all Filipino and at the same time a Visaya. So, we can use three languages in the game: English, Filipino, Cebuano.
P1: Medulla Oblongata
P2: Nervous System
P3: Immune System
P4: Tonsil Stone
P5: Gi-tonsil (Since, Tonsilitis is prohibited, the player in game translated it to Cebuano to pass the game.)
P6: Sick

Another one, for the rule number 7

P1: Math
P2: Addition
P3: Subtraction

The previous two players said two words that are synonymous such that both are an operation of Mathematics. The next player must not use Division or Multiplication or else, he will lose. So,

P4: Discount
P5: Shopping
P6: Credit Card

My classmates like the S-Game so much. They said that the game made their mind to function in just a mere 5 seconds. It's really challenging and fun at the same time. You should try this game too.
