ONECENT Daily Report - Profits Update & Free Upvote - Day 56 of 200
Firstly, the numbers: our total value is currently about 1629 STEEM (+4 STEEM), including 533 STEEM within Steem Engine and a total of 15203 tokens in play. This gives ONECENT an ABV of about 10.72 STEEM cents (0.1072 STEEM), slightly up on yesterday.
Seems like ONECENT has been stuck around 10 STEEM cents for ages; HF21 has done us few favours with the overall effect being largely negative. As predicted (by me, anyway) the increase in curation rewards has been dampened by a drop in total post rewards and a continuing drop in people posting.
This last aspect has to be worrying. I don't see the point in hiding within a token tribe while the currency underneath it is yielding so little. One small positive step is that some of the larger tribes are developing their own advertising income stream. I am not sure how each site will use that income, but hopefully it will start to stabilise some of the freefall.
STEEM's heave upwards to 18 cents appears to have lost momentum and it is deflating back down to a little over 16 cents. The wholly unpegged SBD continues to drift around 80 cents. This is a good time to use the conversion feature, turning SBD into STEEM; not directly available on Steemit, it can easily be employed on the SteemWorld app.
The ONECENT market has, however, cleared a path from 10 to 16 cents. We shall see how long it takes to reach one of the original distribution price-points at 16 cents.
