How does one really practice creep killing in DotA 2? Creep killing is definitely one of the most important things in DotA 2, closely related to a person’s skill to control the lane and dominate the opponents. Cs-ing gives many advantages such as farming a good set of items for the early game to go into the mid game, and also denying creeps can make any hero outlane the opponenet in which his/her cs-ing skills arent on par.

First of all, DotA has a training mode for CS-ing. The mode is really easy, just few clicks away to a fully simulated environment in which the only goal is to CS. I would highly recommend doing this with some more difficult heroes to last hit, such as a Quas Wex Invoker, or a Shadowfiend. Of course, items are prohibited in the simulation. Your goal would be to get at least 70% of the creeps, including denies, in which that is the average for a good player.

The other way could just be you pitting yourself against someone who is way better than you are. This creates a tense last hitting situation as you feel the dangers of an opponent. As compared to just cs-ing, you have to control how the creeps are aggroed in order to get all the last hits you need.
