Want to Compete Steam, Tencent Presents WeGame

So far the distribution of PC games is dominated by Steam. But now Tencent presents WeGame to rival Steam.

This Chinese company is obsessing to dominate the gaming industry. Tencent made various efforts.

Reported by PC Gamer, WeGame is a digital game distribution platform. Just like Steam owned Valve.

For now, the new WeGame is available for the local Chinese market. But Tencent plans to bring it globally.

Mentioned that the WeGame Global version is being developed, and will be released in the near future in Hong Kong. Currently, WeGame already has 220 downloadable games.

Games are available not only from Chinese local developers only. But there are some famous game titles that have been worldwide.

Including Do not Starve Together which has sold up to 2 million copies. Though only available in WeGame in April 2018.

In addition, there are also games from developers under the auspices of Tencent. Like the League of Legends of Riot Games.

Then games from Supercell, Epic Games, Activision Blizzard, Robot Entertainment, and many more.
