Those dice can be nasty! It seems you need to ask very politely and then they MIGHT cooperate. I found that worked for me about half the time. There have been studies done on how the mind can influence an inanimate object and it concluded that there is a slight influence from hope/prayer/will/what-have-you.
Why don't you call on the dice-bot for the row 1 move? Everyone has already taken a turn, so that way you can use your mind-over-matter (or in this case mind-over-bot) to direct the roll.
