The game we all knew that was inevitably going to come to the Switch as it has seemingly been released on every other platform and has been the subject of massive troves of hype has finally been announced and available for download on the Switch.

Are you surprised? Look, I am going to be honest... I think the Fortnite hype has started to die down and while having Fortnite on the Switch is going to net the game a few more fans, has the hype train already left the station?

During its E3 Treehouse stream, Epic Games announced that Fortnite would support voice chat directly through the Switch headphone jack. And this is a significant and monumental announcement because up until now Nintendo has promoted the use of its standalone app for voice chat which sucks.

Unfortunately, if you're a PlayStation 4 player and you're wanting to port over your purchased skins and other items to the Switch, Sony is blocking cross-play/account linking and your purchases are not transferable. People are understandably furious.

While the hype might have simmered down a little bit, the game is still raking in over $300m per month and they continue to release new content for it. I've already downloaded it and will have a review coming shortly on how well it plays.

I pick the good ol NES over any new system :)

You cannot beat the classics, that's for sure.
