A Place For Gamers To Get Better

in #gaming5 years ago

Gaming is growing and eSports has been called the fastest growing sport today.

It's an industry that is expected to continue experiencing tremendous and rapid growth in the near future. It's estimated that there are at least 2.3 billion gamers around the world and more than $100 billion being spent on games every year.

Now, you can find a growing number of schools and colleges looking to get in on the action. Some have started making moves to establish their own teams that can compete on a professional level, taking part in tournaments for cash rewards etc. There are also some schools that are looking to teach students how to play those games as a potential profession down the road.

Gamers today have a variety of ways that they can monetize their playing time and some of them are making serious cash by doing it.

One man saw an opportunity here to help students who were interested in getting better at gaming to be able to perform at a higher level.

He created a company, known as Learn2Play, that serves as an educational platform that hopes to teach people how to get better at playing eSports for money.

“I’ve never been a sports enthusiast, and I’ve never been a gamer, but I saw a huge business opportunity in this market,... We saw how it’s difficult to up your skills to play better to compete with other gamers … It’s maybe ten times more difficult, than [say] chess.” - founder of Learn2Play M. Dreval

The platform involves projects that will teach gamers how they can play games for money, teaching anyone and everyone from amateurs to veteran gamers and professionals. With regular tournaments being held that hold prize pools of millions of dollars, there's a great opportunity today for any gamer to monetize their passion and improve their skill-set.

Learn2Play also specializes in developing eSports proejcts that are educational and marketing-oriented and in less than one year they were able to reach 1 million users.

“Video games have become more social and competitive. The prize money in tournaments has surpassed $200 million in 2018. Combined with complexity of competitive games, that creates a demand for learning services that will help gamers to improve faster,... We develop our products to deliver a holistic solution. We want the platform to help provide fast improvement to the players, but we also want to build an ecosystem in which gamers feel like they are a part of the eSports environment.” - Learn2Play Founder and CEO, M. Dreval.

Learn2Play uses AI and machine learning to help gamers improve their skills, the abundant statistical data relating to their performance is allegedly said to be a key teaching element to helping them go about improving their abilities. By using artifical intelligence to assess every detail of their playing, it helps them to eventually reach a higher level of playing. They're hoping to eventually become a world leader in this arena, attracting millions of players to play on a regular basis.

That's a really cool idea!

I know in the nearby town of Forks, they created a "gaming community center" as a way to get kids off the streets where they were loitering and causing petty vandalism... and it was quite a success as a pilot program.

With as much gaming as we have these days (as I write these words, our 29-year old son is camped out on the couch in front of our TV, playing a multi-player game), it seems like a logical extension to teach people how to monetize that time...

agree, and thanks for your feedback @denmarkguy ! I think gaming programs offer a great incentive to keep those kids engaged and provides something that might help them stay away from what could get them into trouble✌

We can also earn good money if we are playing some catchy games on youtube!
