The ever expanding gamer universe
Sony pulled up a new card from their sleeve - mobile native crossplay, like the Switch. This enhances the PlaysTation to a new level, opening up audiences of all types of both gamers and developers.
All you need to do to take advantage of this is updating your console and downloading the iPhone/Android app. You'll need a recent device to do this, but it'll be worth of it if you enjoy taking your games anywhere with you.
This is a surprisingly effective way to both compete with what Nintendo has exclusively offered so far (mobile traditional gaming) and throughly explore the casual market, although that will heavily depend on what titles will come up, since any good tech can only match up with the actual product made using it.
Looks like Nintendo is the only one who hasn't revealed anything suprising lately. Afterall, Microsoft already announced it will have two different systems due next year.
