E3 2018: DOOM Eternal and Wolfenstein Youngblood coming our way

in #gaming6 years ago

  • Wolfenstein has had a sequel confirmed - it will feature CO-OP
  • DOOM has had a sequel confirmed - Gameplay will be revealed at Quakecon
  • Gameplay for both games wasn't shown - a release date is still up in the air

E3 continues to blow our expectations out of the water - two left field follows ups to Bethesda titles have been confirmed, following the BE3 conference at E3. Wolfenstein and DOOM will both be receiving sequels in the coming year, which will work as follow ups to the previous installments, Wolfenstein: The New Colossus, and DOOM 2016.

First, lets talk Youngblood - Here's the trailer.

Set in 1980's Paris, you'll be playing as BJ Blazkowicz' Twin Daughters, fighting Nazi's and taking names. The game will divert from the solely single-player styles of Wolfenstein: The New Order and Wolfenstein: The New Colossus, becoming a CO-OP game, so now you can slay dystopian Nazi's with a friend.

Youngblood will be coming in 2019.

Now onto DOOM: Eternal - Here's the trailer.

Unfortunately, that's pretty much all we got to see of DOOM: Eternal at E3, except that it's a "Direct Sequel" to DOOM 2016 - but hold on, there will be gameplay shown at this years Quakecon, on August 10th. It will also have Mick Gordon at the helm for music.

Also, we weren't given a solid release date, and that goes for both - with Wolfenstein: Youngblood said to come out 2019, and DOOM not getting one just yet.

Bethesda had a wealth of other games to show this year at E3, here's our coverage of the showcase.
