Wasteland 2: Director’s Cut Is Coming To The Nintendo Switch

If you love Fallout, but don't like the direction it has headed since the franchise has been helmed by Bethesda, and you own a Nintendo Switch, then we've got some news for you. Wasteland 2: Director's Cut is coming to the Nintendo Switch.

The Nintendo Switch port of Wasteland 2: Director's Cut is expected to arrive sometime in August. But, this is the video game industry after all, so this date is subject to change. Considering this is a port, I doubt that the release date will change drastically.

Wasteland 2: Director's Cut plays like the original Fallout games and boasts having over 80 hours of gameplay. You better clear your schedule. Players will explore a post-apocalyptic world with a group of rag-tag survivors from an isometric perspective. The player will encounter a wide variety of quests and NPC's, who all have their own problems and requests that the player will need to navigate. Some of NPC's are hostile to the player, which is pretty understandable considering their current situation. If things turn sour, the player will engage in classic turn-based combat. Luckily, everyone is patient in the wasteland and will wait their turn.

The original Wasteland 2 was developed by members of the original Wasteland team and the game's designer on the original Fallout. If that wasn't enough to get your post-apocalyptic tastebuds salivating, the soundtrack to Wasteland 2 was composed by Mark Morgan, who created the soundtrack for Fallout and Fallout 2.

Wasteland 2: Director's Cut made some quality of life changes to the original while also expanding the voice-overs within the game. Alongside this, the Director's Cut also included new perks and quirks, which allow the player to gain new characteristics and bonuses.

Wasteland 2: Director's Cut was received pretty well by critics and has an 80 overall rating on Metacritic. If you crave the good old days of Fallout, maybe you should check out Wasteland 2: Director's Cut on the Nintendo Switch. Or not. I won't judge.

Looks exciting. Yeah, not sure how it will compare to Fallout. It does seem to have more of a Nintendo style in Wasteland. Does look fun to play.

Definitely looks exciting! Should be a good addition to the switch!
