Females in gaming

Nowadays there are so many female gamers and theyre are so many famous Twitch casters who don't only look nice but also has the skills to back it up.

One of the motions in video gaming especially in teh realm of competitive gameplay is that they just want to become famous and often just rely on their good looks to get an audience as well as donations.

They are often typecasted to just want the attention and that they are not really good in games. While this maybe true to some degree I have known several women who kick ass in several games like overwatch,. Starcraft, Fort Nite.

Now playing Ragnarok M Eternal Love I was again the world chat and happen to see a conversation between several people.

One was identified or was identifying as female and several people were trying to engage small talk.

They were asking her questions on where she lives and if she had a boyfriend. She was attempting to move the conversation back to the game but the boys clearly shows they would rather talk and most definitely get more details.

Some were asking for her real name and Facebook profile because a lot of people have been burned in terms of devoting time and effort as well as items to players who lied about their gender.

A form of catfishing where a guy would pretend to.be a girl online in order to dupe victims to give them money and items and in most cases help them level up.

I remember in my younger days of these things happening to some guildmates who thought with the little head more than the big head.

They recall how they would talk to the wee hours of the morning exchanging sweet nothings and even sending flying kisses only to discover it's a dude.

We usually would rub that in and would use it in any opportunity to remind them that it happened. It is particularly funny when years after getting together in a wedding and recounting that one that got away.

So far no one has used it in a wedding toast but then most of us are never asked to do it out of fear of such a thing happening lol.

But going back to world chat the crowd is joined by several other people who ask the girl for more personal details that involves sexual activity and this convinces me that these are oversexed teenagers who mostly have not held a woman before.

Such is the bravado online but when in real life such folks would usually be tongue-tied and unable to say hi.

I should know because I was socially inept as a kid yet I don't recall being that rude nor thirsty on girls especially those that I am not sure if they are online.

In the end she refused to answer their questions and logged out of the game.

On one hand half of the people refuse to believe that she is actually a girl and the other half believed it because instead of using it to her advantage she wanted to be treated an equal.

It's really sad that gaming is still like this when 10 years from how I saw it in the original Ragnarok.
