On Tuesday, June 5th at 11:59 PM EDT, Money Match Gaming wrapped up our first month of collection for our new blockchain funded Esports project, Codename: Kawaii. In our first month of collection the Team @ukuleletutorials(Smurf), @theinfinite, @mainos12345(The D) raised $349.89 USD for Codename: Kawaii's Total Prize Pool!

About MMG's Competitive Online Overwatch Events

MMG's Competitive Online Overwatch Events will be conducted as a social experiment known as, Codename Kawaii ,across all MMG social media channels, and conclude with a regularly occurring end of the month event. Our audience will be given the power to determine, how often and how much these events take place based on their engagement with specific MMG social media posts and polls.

How MMG Uses Blockchain To Fund Esports

Codename: Kawaii is a blockchain funded project, using dApps(decentralized apps) that give users cryptocurrency for creating and curating content. Money Match Gaming's primary dApps are: Steemit.com and another dApp on the Steem blockchain, DLive.io.

MMG started Codename:Kawaii (COOWE) off with 1 month of prize pool collection on March 7th 2018. On June 4th at Midnight, MMG Concluded the prize pool collection for month 1 of Codename: Kawaii, moving us into our first event period. After polling our audience for the best day of the week, and whether the event should be: 3v3, FFA, or Other(teams of 6 or another game custom game mode), we will set an event date for the 1st Codename: Kawaii monthly, and make registration available. Though registration may be made available before this happens. Please check the Overwatch section of this website or MMG's latest blogs on Steemit for regularly updated information.

About Codename: Kawaii's (COOWE) Prize Pool

The first thing to note, is that the Total Prize Pool and the Monthly Prize Pool are different, but both contribute to the Total Prize Pool. Each Month, 30% of the Total Prize Pool will be used for the Monthly Codename: Kawaii (COOWE) Event.

Giveaways & Free 2 Play Events

Another 10% of the Total Prize Pool collected , after each month, will be used to host free to play events and giveaways for the MMG Overwatch community. These events are meant to always be free, in case the community polls for a pay-to-play Monthly event.

Rolling Pot

Each month, 60% of the Total Prize Pool collection will always be held over, as a base for the next month, adding to it: the total of what was collected that month.

Event Fees, Rules, Misc - Community Decision Making

Our intentions are for Codname: Kawaii to never host an unwanted event, by gameplay or cost of entry. For those reasons, we will always poll audiences before our Monthly event to determine the cost of entry. In these polls, various costs of entry will be made available to vote on, with the registration fees going toward either Codename: Kawaii's Prize Pool Total or the Montly event itself.

As an incentive for our social media audiences, we will set goals for specific social media posts, which, if attained, will grant all registrations free entry to Money Match Gaming''s Monthly Codename: Kawaii event. These goals will be things like " If this post gets 500 likes", or "If 50 people comment". Our reason for doing this is that, we don't want to host events that you (our audiences) aren't engaged in. It's great to provide gamers with a way to compete and earn cash and prizes, but honestly, it sucks when no one is listening, or they're listening but they just don't want it. We just want to ensure that you want it, and if you do, -- it's yours.

We will conduct one final vote once this post has been made. The results of which will become the event to be held for MMG's first official Codename: Kawaii Monthly Event.
