Pada sebuah pertarungan duel monster kartu yang ada di permainan Yu-Gi-Oh, setiap pemain harus menyusun kartu dalam sebuah deck yang merupakan kumpulan dari berbagai jenis kartu monster, spell dan trap.

Sangat banyak jenis kartu yang ada dalam permainan duel kartu monster Yu-Gi-Oh seperti kartu Normal Monster dan Effect Monster dan Ritual Monster dan Fusion Monster dan Spell Card dan Field Spell dan Equip Spell dan Trap Card dan masih banyak lagi jenis kartu yang ada di perminan Yu-Gi-Oh. Kartu Exodia merupakan sebuah satu kartu yang membuat kita bisa menang dengan mudah dan juga sangat merepotkan jika dicombokan dengan baik, tetapi kartu Exodia juga memiliki kelemahan yang sangat besar, setip kartu-kartu satuan nya memeiliki serangan dan pertahanan yang lemah sehingga tidak bisa digunakan dalam pertarungan jika semua kartu nya belum lengkap.

Maka dari itu ketika kita memutuskan untuk memasukkan kartu moster exodia ke dalam deck, kita harus siap menjaga setiap bagiannya di tangan kita sambil bertahan agar Life Point kita tidak habis terlebih dahulu. Dan jika ada satu bagian saja kartu tersebut hancur atau hilang maka kombinasi kartu exodia telah gagal karena kartu ini wajib memiliki setiap bagian nya untuk mengaktifkan nya.

OBELISK THE TORMENTOR ( OBELISK NO KYOSHINHEI )

Ini merupakan kartu terkuat seri kedua yaitu Obelisk The Tormentor yang merupakan kartu dewa pertama dalam seri permainan Yu-Gi-Oh. Kartu dewa ini sebelumnya dipegang oleh Ishizu merupakan seorang penjaga makam mesir kuno yang kemudian kartu dewa tersebut diberikan untuk Seto Kaiba supaya kartu tesebut tidak diambil oleh Malik yang merupakan Adik Ishizu. Karena merupakan salah satu dari 3 kartu dewa, pastinya kartu ini adalah tipe kartu yang sangat kuat dan ditakuti oleh lawan.

Kartu dewa Obelisk The Tormentor bisa dipanggil dengan mengorbankan 3 buah kartu monster. Kartu ini memiliki serangan dan pertahanan yang cukup kuat yaitu sebesar 4.000 sehingga akan sangat menguntungkan kita jika dapat memanggil monster ini ke field arena.

Kartu dewa Obelisk juga memiliki sebuah kemampuan spesial yaitu dengan mengorbankan 2 buah kartu monster maka Obelisk dapat menggunakan efek "Soul Energy Max" yang berfungsi untuk menghancurkan semua monster lawan yang ada di field tanpa tersisa. Tetapi setelah mengaktifkan efek tersebut, Obelisk tidak dapat menyerang lagi pada gilirian tersebut.

Karena Obelisk merupakan salah satu dari kartu dewa yang kuat, Obelisk tidak akan terkena pengaruh dari spell lawan, trap ataupun efek dari monster lain. akan tetapi efek dari kartu magic yang bisa mengurangi serangan masih dapat mempengaruhinya walau hanya 1 giliran.
