Remember that bad feeling I had about The Witcher TV series developed by Netflix? Well seems my concerns were well founded as this below Tweet demonstrates. While I have no issue with the protest itself, why was there a need to use the Witcher hashtag? And more suspect is their complete lack of knowledge on The Witcher lore. They seem to have forgotten that there was a time in The Witcher universe where humans migrated from another world and then reproduce like rats. And then proceeded to make the elves, dwarves and other races second-class citizens in their own world.

Also, the signs they are holding, which I am thinking is aimed at the current American administration implies that the administration has an issue with all immigrants. When in reality the only problem they have is with illegal immigrants. Seeking asylum means presenting yourself at an embassy, consulate or legitimate entry point in the next country, not traveling through multiple countries and sneaking across the border via illegal means. Having said that my hopes and expectation for this production just got lowered even further…
