There are some game crossovers that are expected, but then there are ones that make you say ''WTF?”.

WWF Vs WCW... DC Vs, Marvel.... Sonic Vs Mario.... these are just some of the game crossovers that gamers have come to expect as these are some of the biggest rivals out there. But when you see a crossover that makes you say ''What the Fuck?'', you have to question what the game developers were thinking, or in some cases, smoking when they came up with that idea.

So here is 5 WTF game crossovers.

5 – Street Fighter Vs Megaman.

• Megaman is routed in gaming pop culture history as one of the most iconic characters from the golden age of gaming.
  Street Fighter is also routed in gaming pop culture history as one of the most iconic fighting games from the same time period.
  But someone decided that the 2 could be integrated into a game. Instead of giving Megaman a 32 bit upgrade and essentially place him into the street fighter game as an extra playable character, they kept Megaman as his original self and insert all the street fighter characters into his world. Not that this is a bad thing. I mean I love platform games from the 80's and 90's, it just makes no sense to redesign all the characters from one game into another, instead of just one character and inserting them into a game. And the story they gave the game is even more bizarre.
  Regardless of the design choices the devs made, the game is still enjoyable to play, and it is fun to see 8 bit street fighter characters battle it out with Megaman.

4 – Mario + Rabbids – Kingdom Battle.

• We all know who Mario is. He is a household name and has been since the late 80's. We all know about the mushroom kingdom where he resides and his helpless love affair with princess peach and rescuing her from Bowser. Rabbids on the other hand can only be explained by your children.
  While we ended up with a great game to play in the end, it is hard to understand why Nintendo chose to mate Mario with the most annoying creatures in the gaming world.
  What is worse is that the Rabbids in this game dress up as the characters from the Mario franchise. A Rabbid wearing a Yoshi 'SKIN' like a dress is a very unnerving site. Also another Rabbid dressed like princess Peach taking selfies? And a giant White Rabbid with the exact same build as Donkey Kong, Moves like him, wearing a DK necklace? WTF indeed.

3 – Kingdom Hearts.

• Look, I know this is one of Square Enix's most popular games when it was released and was a huge hit with fans of Disney, but hear me out.
  Playing a game with cartoon characters such as Donald Duck, Goofy, Winnie the Pooh.... and you have to go up against the likes of Maleficent, meeting other characters like Captain Jack Sparrow, The Little Mermaid, Buzz Lightyear, Tron, and many more along the way is just bizarre.
  The story is simple enough, and I know all these characters are from Disney, but in which world would you see Goofy having an adult conversation with Captain Jack Sparrow? A cartoon character speaking to someone who is not a toon... its who framed roger rabbit in game form. That is the only way I can describe the game.
  And the Key Sword just tops of the weirdness this game radiates.

2 – Fortune Street.

• Image playing a Monopoly type video game that included characters from Mario.... so far start forward. But they included a lot of mini games too... and oh... added Dragon Quest characters in there too.... you know, to spice things up?
  They also went and added a full in game stock market for you to manage and property management too.
  It works similar to the Monopoly board game, but with each stop there is a chance you end up in a mini game you have to complete. Then you have to earn your money by trading on the stock market, followed by managing properties you buy/own on the board.
  This game is as confusing as it sounds, and it looks even worse. It may have been just a simple idea when the devs thought this up, but when they started to add more adult themed stuff, they ended up making a very forgettable game that no one wanted to play.

1 – BattleToads & Double Dragon.

• Double Dragon was an epic side scrolling platform that was awesome to play with your best friend.
  BattleToads was an epic side scrolling platform that was awesome to play with your best friend.
  Individually, the 2 separate franchises had a lot going for them, but the moment they decided to put the 2 together, they made something that was confusing but at the same time, very awesome indeed.
  The Dark Queen teams up with the shadow warriors to take over the world. The BattleToads take the fight to her to stop this happening, but they also decide to bring along Billy and Jimmy, who are the Double Dragon duo. The duo take on the queens space battle ship in true 80's beat em up style, with plenty of enemies for them to fight. Most of which are 2 to 3 times there size.
  While having an 80's duo in a sci-fi based environment with some Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle wanna bees is a little baffling. It is actually quite a good game to play.

There are lot more strange and unusual crossover type games out there, but this is the more weirder ones out there that I could find. Yes, the concepts in these types of games may make you say WTF! But that is not to say that these games are bad. Some are actually quite fun to play. Its just that initial description that could put you off and makes you question how on earth did the game companies sign off on making these types of games?
