My poor flowers lost their basil trellis. I think they will find some new objects to latch onto fairly quickly. It was quite the task unraveling the vines from the basil stem. They were thoroughly intertwined. It kind of just looks like a weird pile of plant now.

Refilled Gillberts water and played around with the pump a little. I got it working slightly better but couldn't get it back to how I remember it from when I got it. Turns out there is a little speed setting button on the bottom that wasn't all the way up. The button is cranked to the max now but it still feels like the amount of water being pumped in lacking. I might need to try a more heavy duty cleaner to see if I can free things up. The water where I live has a tendency to clog up small parts and pieces of mechanical devices. My pumps been going for a while so I kind of thought the water wasn't bothering it. Guess I was wrong.

Hope your flowers don't die. They look very unattached. Woudn't it would be better to use some soil or sand??

The rocks help pull the water up and also house the bacteria that turn the waste into food for the plants.

So, you do not using any soil or sand? Wow...What is the name of the tree?
