It is our knowledge that chemical fertilizers, little by little, are degrading the soil, contaminating water and air. But, we have a natural alternative, based on ripe banana peel, because it is rich in potassium. This natural fertilizer gives the plants more development, especially fruits and flowers.

It is easy to detect when the plants are lacking in potassium, because their leaves exhibit a yellowish and wilted color, this visible characteristic, leads us to provide this mineral through a natural fertilizer, to improve both fruit and ornamental plants, with this option ecological and economic.

Now, as the peel of the ripe banana breaks down quickly, the suggestion is to keep it in a plastic bag and freeze.

How to make our own artisanal fertilizer to save and improve the care of our plants.

  • First form:

Cut 5 peels of ripe banana into small pieces, add liter and a half of water. Let boil for about 15 minutes, you can see that the water took a dark color. Let stand, strain and bottling.

When you need to apply the fertilizer, you add more water and water the plant for about 15 days.

  • Second form:

As the ripe banana peel is a source of minerals such as phosphorus, magnesium and potassium, you can cut it into pieces and bury it in the pot or directly on the ground where the plant is. This releases the minerals and the plant will stay healthy.

From now on ripe banana peels, do not throw them away, because you have a powerful fertilizer in your hands, easy to make and the best option is the economic and you are contributing to the natural.
