Prepare to Grow!!!
n preparation for our new growing season, each of the Little-Peppers have chosen a growing project this year. They each picked something out of the Baker Creek Heirloom Seed Company catalogue and now we are getting ready.
"Monster Truck," our oldest son who just turned six years old, is planning on attempting to grow the "Snake Bean Gourds" from Baker Creek. We decided to transform an old, simple bamboo trellis a sturdier structure with the hopes that it'll be able to handle this child's crop this year. Enjoy the video!

Love it! I've started starts already and in my old tub of seeds I found some heirloom Bowl Gourds, like the giant ones, gonna try here to find a good spot and see if I can get them to go...
Very cool! I think gourds are often underrated these days, and we love growing lots of varieties!

Lookit that kid carrying that big ol pole! My kids would cry a mud puddle then sit in it if I asked them to do that kind of work!
Yeah, he can carry 4 T-posts at a time already too.... maybe more now that he's older.
