Fruits of the Akebia, Blaugurkenrebe (Lardizabalaceae)
they already get a slight blue color, the fruits of the Akebia quinata, I am very curious how they taste, they bear this year for the first time fruits.
They burst at full ripeness in October and release the black edible seeds.
Akebia quinata is considered as an analgesic and fever-reducing, it should also promote wound healing. It is appetizing and slightly laxative. If ingested, Akebia quinata should be anti-inflammatory.
The climbing cucumber is a little known, but appreciated because of its filigree, five-part leaves and the long deciduous liability creeper. From April to May, the exceptionally shaped flowers appear in hanging grapes. The flowers exude a spicy fragrance, which is why the plant is also called "chocolate wine". The edible, cucumber-shaped, very decorative fruits ripen from Sept. to Oct. Tires, however, only in warm, sheltered locations. The organic plant is used for facade greening, pergolas, trellises and as a container plant. Forming and pruning are easily possible.
The flowers exude a pleasant, vanilla-like fragrance. From the flowers cucumber-shaped fruits develop, which have a violet color and grow between 5-10 cm. Due to its shape, the plant is also called climbing cucumber.
This is amazing and I love that hue of color flowers!
Many thanks dear!
