We are out in the geodesic greenhouse this morning...transplanting and spreading turmeric all around the greenhouse! We can easily scoop up whole root and aerial leaves by scooping roots up from nearby colonies. We transplant whole plants and we also break roots and spread just the root. Slowly creating a ginger and turmeric colonies all around the perimeter of the greenhouse. The color alone pulls me in...but I love the taste of fresh eaten root and juiced also!

Cheers to our food freedom Steepshot and Steem blockchain!! Growing our own...and sharing with others HOW to do it too!

This dude....is totally ON....the turmeric growing process....and how to grow it in small spaces.

Is it suitable for patio gardening? I should grow some next year.

hi @medikatie !! i dig the name! thanks for stopping by. it is if you live in a tropical or sub tropical zone. they are super sensitive to cold. i can't grow them on my porch in s. utah. but ...in my greenhouse...no problem! they would grow inside your house...through the winter. near a window. ;)

Wow, that stem on the second photo is huge. I am growing turmeric and ginger too. This months it is really leafing out, and my new starts are making thick white buds. I am thinking of growing some indoors for the winter too.
