High quality colloidal silver is eliminated quickly. However large particles of silver can collect under the skin and lead to an irreversible cosmetic condition called argyria, in which a person turns bluish gray. Cases of that are extremely rare, and it is the only side effect ever associated with taking low quality colloidal silver.
