hahaha very cool. I love the names of your chickens! haha :) composts are awesome. It is interesting here in the Phoenix area, we have a very clay like soil. cliche. So we have to add all kinds of wood chips, mulch, compost, etc. before we can grow much. I don't worry about it too much, since I just use potting soil in my pots. haha but when I do get a house with a yard, I will have to really treat the soil, before I can start planting. It will be a fun process for sure.
